Muito bom, mas hoje á outros caminhos mais fáceis para começar no assunto.

Na época que li o livro (on-line) comprei pelo sistema de livros online da O'Reilly, Safari Books Online. É o começo do Python no Brasil e não tinham conteúdo do assunto em português. O segundo passo após ler esse livro, era ler o Programming Python.
Hoje com bastante conetúdo em português, fica ainda mais fácil aprender essa linguagem que já é facil. =P
