O livro é muito para representar o que se propõe: as hipocrisias e a violência envolvendo a guerra, em especial a guerra dos 30 anos. O problema? É um livro extremamente denso, com muitas informações. A leitura em português é até ok, mas em alemão, talvez não seja assim tão acessível, não tenho certeza. Se eu tiver estrutura emocional, acho que leria os demais livros da "triologia"
