With his dog, Gabriel, and Camael, a former Powers' commander, he is drawn north to a small town in Maine. Here, Aaron, who still hasn't accepted this newfound heritage, finds comfort in the isolated, tight-knit community.

But when Camael and Gabriel go missing, and their landlady suddenly attacks Aaron, he is forced to learn more about the War in Heaven and the many Powers that are fighting for dominance . . . of humankind.

THE FALLEN começa lento, quase sem ritmo, mas logo se torna interessante e difícil de deixar de ler. A narrativa nada nova de anjos caídos e tudo mais, não toma aquele rumo romântico que parece ter tomado conta da maioria dos livros da atualidade. Sua história se desenvolve em um misto de aventura e mistério, deixando o leitor querendo mais e mais!

Aaron não é o melhor dos personagens principais, mas você acaba pegando gosto por ele, por ser tão humanamente verdadeiro. Com falhas, medos, inseguranças e momentos felizes, mas o personagem mais cativante, com certeza é Gabriel, o cachorro falante. Gabe te conquista com sua felicidade e inocência canina.

As cenas são tão bem descritas que é possível imaginar cenários, reações, armas e até mesmo as vozes dos personagens.

Infelizmente, por enquanto só existem cópias em inglês, por isso, recomendo para fãs de aventura, que gostem de um tema diferenciado e que tenham pelo menos um nível intermediário de inglês.
