Beto Rockfeller, who is mildly afflicted with Alien Hand Syndrome, dreams about becoming successful with his rock band. After being unjustly arrested during a protest on Paulista Avenue, he’s released and urged to leave Sao Paulo. He and his unknown band – whose members are: Yakult, Gringo and Santiago dos Santos – decide to move to the mystical town of São Thomé das Letras, the Machu Picchu of Brazil. It’s exactly in this easy-going little town in the state of Minas Gerais where an astonishing and dynamic plot begins – replete with adventures, affairs, crimes and mysteries.

Rockfeller becomes involved with Anita Andrade, a girlfriend of one of his friends. This love triangle is suddenly confronted with the appearance of a terrible sickness. He, disoriented, is faced with a difficult decision that severely challenges his sense of morals, even worse, Rock will pay dearly for his troubling decision, no matter which way he goes. Besides that, he’s bound to live with his ghosts, delusions and psychoses, as he is still getting used to dealing with a puzzling raven that pursues him.

In the meantime, with the passing of time, Rockfeller gets a second chance to be happy in Rio de Janeiro, his troubles and psychoses return and this can lead him into an irreversible situation in which not everything you see can be considered reality.
