Muito bom

Eu gostei bastante desse livro!!! Ele é não ficção e mostra a vida de pessoas imigrantes e “ilegais” nos Estados Unidos.

O foco do livro é em imigrantes da América Latina, porque a própria autora foi uma imigrante nascida do Equador, e foi uma das primeiras pessoas sem o green card a se graduarem na Harvard.

Diferente de outros livros que eu já li sobre esse tema, esse foi interessante porque não contava sobre a vida da autora e sim várias entrevistas que ela fez com pessoas que estavam sem documento no país.

Ela trouxe uma outra perspectiva que eu nunca tinha pensando em relação os imigrantes, por exemplo, o que aconteceu com eles no 11 de setembro.

Leitura ótima! A única coisa que eu não gostei é que por ser entrevista, não tinha uma história contínua e as vezes eu ficava perdida na história. Mas fora isso, recomendo muito.
