Everyday Lou Suffern battled with the clock. He always had two places to be at the same time. He always had two things to do at once. When asleep he dreamed. This is a story about people who not unlike parcels, hide secrets. They cover themselves in layers until the right person unwraps them and discovers what's inside.S ometimes you have to be unravelled in order to find out who you really are. For Lou Suffern, that took time.

Cecelia Ahern mais uma vez supera a sua escrita. Diferentemente da maioria dos livros desse gênero, o personagem principal é um homem; o que dá um efeito totalmente diferente de outras histórias. "The Gift" passa uma mensagem muito bonita, nos fazendo refletir sobre várias atitudes e escolhas que nós fazemos. Com certeza um livro altamente indicado!
