Alright...
Second book I read by Amitav Ghosh - another Master's read. Apparently this professor chose the most boring books ever for her syllabus. This is a sequence to The Hungry Tide. Some characters return, like Piya and Tutul (now Tipu). It is more interesting than the first book, in my opinon. This one deals with the matter of illegal immigration, a topic that attracts me a lot. Obviously it also concerns global warming and enviornmental issues. The characters and the plot continue to be kind of bland. He always has great material in hands, a lot of possibilities, and he can never really achieve greatness in his writings (only in The Great Derangement, but that's not a novel).
