Vampire's slayer and what?

I must confess that, despite "seeing that coming", I did not see that coming!

Since book one I've been expecting to see Victoria being turned, but, by the end of book three, I was caught with my guard down. Not by what happened, but how it came to be...

Even though I cannot be certain that the slayer is now a vampire (in the full sense of it), the ending of the narrative left me intrigued, to say the least.
