O livro é muito bem escrito e a estoria bem desenvolvida.
Todos os personagens têm uma densidade psicologica muito bem definida e a capacidade descritiva da autora é incrivel, contudo não gostei do livro. Achei muito deprimente. Quando terminei de le-lo tinha dentro de mim a mesma sensação de quando li "Uma Tragedia Americana" do Theodore Dreiser. Acho que estou de novo na minha fase de querer um mundo cor-de-rosa. Com certeza é um livro que tenho que reler para ver se estou sendo realmente justa.
