Embora tenha apreciado a maneira como Paul Hoffman criou o personagem principal, a leitura do livro é um pouco maçante, atrapalhando um pouco o enredo.
A crítica descarada a religião, a forma como o personagem principal é exposto a toda crueldade humana, e mesmo assim é capaz de atos de bondade é interessante, mesmo que ele não possa entendê-los. Um livro interessante de ser livro, mas devesse ter muita paciência.
