When a virus makes everyone over the age of eighteen infertile, would-be parents pay teen girls to conceive and give birth to their children, making teens the most prized members of society. Megan McCafferty
Megan McCafferty, nascida Megan Fitzmorris McCafferty em 1973 em Bayville, New Jersey, é uma autora americana conhecida pela série Jessica Darling, best seller do New York Times, publicada entre 2001 e 2009. Ela formou-se na Central Regional High School, em Berkeley Township, New Jersey em 1991, e frequentou a Universidade de Richmond antes de se transferir para a Universidade Columbia e receber o título de bacharel em inglês. Após a formatura, McCafferty trabalhou como editora na produção de revistas como Cosmopolitan, YM e Fitness. Começou sua carreira escrevendo contos e artigos para várias revistas adolescentes.
