Skye Wright creates excitement wherever she goes, whether teaching yoga to the high-school football team or instructing senior citizens on the finer points of belly dancing. When she is hauled off to jail by the stern but hunky cop Nathan Thornton, a man with a secret, there is an uproar among the fine citizens of Rock Creek. Life then improves radically for Skye when the lottery ticket she bought as a thank-you gift turns out to be a million-dollar winner. Owen, her quiet, wealthy friend, insists that she take the ticket back, a move not appreciated by his nephew and sole heir, while Skye, in her usual offbeat fashion, decides to buy, restore, and reopen the dilapidated Tivoli theater. Linz, known for her fast-paced, snappy romantic comedies, once again sparkles in this heartwarming, funny tale. And her secondary characters, particularly the generous Owen, Skye's New Age mother, and a kitten named Gravity, as well as Skye's overprotective daughter, Toni, who bites anyone she perceives as a threat to her mother, make an already excellent story exceptional.
