O livro narra a amizade de Halley e Scarllet.
As duas são bem diferentes uma da outra, o que torna a amizade das duas ainda mais forte. Halley foi sempre mais "dependente" da forte e decidida Scarlett, mas essa situação vai mudar quando Scarlett descobre que está grávida de Michael, que acaba de falecer em um acidente.

Um verdadeiro obstáculo aparece na vida das duas.Como elas enfrentarão essa nova realidade é o desenvolvimento do livro.

Ameiiii "Someone like You", um verdadeiro expemplo de amizade verdadeira.

E mais uma vez o forte o modo realista da Sara escrever aparece.
