One by one, they go down like dominoes. First there's Brodie, the bartender, who at long last pays some attention to his best friend, Kat Henderson, the best mechanic in town, and discovers there's more under the overalls and grease smudges than he thought.

Then distiller Reese Chisholm finds more on tap than a marketing proposal when he meets with Daisy MacDonnell, a young American come to live in Glenbuie.

In the final story, sheepherder Tristan Chisholm saves a young American, Bree, from drowning, only to discover that she is a world-famous novelist running away from her own celebrity. Kauffman's couples fall in love charmingly, with plenty of energetic sex

Well, Donna Kauffman certainly has a writing formula. That's even more obvious when you read an anthology like this one. She uses the same phrases of impact ('you can keep doing that forever...'), the characters are all alike, with one small characteristic or other, but pretty much all the same. The men are all tall, dark, handsome and don't want the heroine to fear them/and or feel too comfortable with them (Oookaaay), and the heroines are all small, thin, lithe with freckles, add different hair color.
At least the steamy parts were nice. They were all the same, too, but pretty hot.

3 1/2 stars for the steamy parts, not the repeated plot and characters.
