Count Leo Tolstoy (1828-1910) is best known for War and Peace and Anna Karenina, commonly regarded as amongst the greatest novels ever written. Não leve como se fosse apenas uma novela.

A morte de Ivan Ilitch foi meu primeiro contato com Tolstói, e é até engraçado escrever uma resenha Sem spoiler, sendo que o título poderia já ser um spoiler,mas o autor nos mostra que a vida, na verdade a morte, não é assim, afinal, qual seria o peso da surpresa se definirmos o final de tudo só como morte?
Ela vem pra todos nós no final, e isso já sabemos, e não há tememos em nada, pois para todos nós ela está distante, daqui algumas décadas. Porém se com a previsível certeza de que todos morreremos, temos a angustiante incerteza de quando, e Tolstói nós coloca pra pensar sobre isso.
