Os acontecimentos desse livro acontecem ao mesmo tempo do quarto livro e foca mais no que acontece com a Dany e com Jon. Dany continua bem longe de Westeros, tentando governar e resolver vários problemas e ganhando vários inimigos. Já Jon também está atraindo inimigos na muralha, ao tentar proteger a muralha do real perigo e manter a paz com o Selvagens.

Muita coisa nesse livro se assemelhou com a Série da TV, mas senti que a Dany não saiu do lugar e nem aprendeu nada, ela ainda tem um longo caminho até Westeros e eu fiquei meio cética sem saber como ela vai chegar lá com apenas um livro para finalizar os livros.

O melhor do livro com certeza foram as tramas políticas de Dorne, fiquei muito surpresa em como são inteligentes e estão sempre um passo à frente e gostaria muito que eles tivessem maior destaque na série da TV. Rei de Dorne ensinando a Cersi como se planeja e joga o jogo do trono.

Amei a leitura, mas o primeiro continua sendo meu favorito da serie.
