Malcolm, a man trying to lead an honest life, is forced to back into the world of crime. Hired to do what he does best, Malcolm kidnaps a young girl, Ingrid, who’s presumably the daughter of a rich and influential man. Things don’t go as planned, however, as Malcolm is lured by Ingrid into breaking the unwritten rules of his job as a kidnapper. Excerpt from the short story: Before realizing, he drifted away and envisioned himself lying across from her in that same bed. Just looking at her. He ran his hands across her shoulder and down her arm. Maybe she rustled a little bit and playfully sighed when he did this. Feeling no resistance from her, he continued tracing soft lines in her flesh. Then he slipped the sheet off of her a little, revealing only the tops of her breasts. Just to tease himself, because he wasn’t exactly sure what her naked body looked like. Though he could certainly go on imagining.
