Windsor Kléber Laferrière
Dany Laferrière é um jornalista, escritor, e roteirista haitiano-canadense que escreve em francês. É um dos principais renovadores da rica literatura haitiana. Nasceu em 1953 em Porto Príncipe, e em 1976 teve que se exilar, fugindo da ditadura de Baby Doc. Instala-se primeiro em Montreal, no Canadá, onde trabalha como operário em várias fábricas, até que em 1985 publica seu primeiro livro, Como fazer amor com um negro sem se cansar, logo levado ao cinema. Segue-se uma longa série de livros, marcados pela perspectiva autoficcional, como País sem chapéu (1996); o mais recente deles, L'énigme du retour (O enigma do regresso, (2009) recebeu o prestigiado prêmio Médicis. Foi eleito em 12 de dezembro de 2013 para a Academia Francesa.
