But Horn is the only one who can locate the great leader Silk, and convince him to return to Blue and lead them all to prosperity. So Horn sets sail in a small boat, on a long and difficult quest across the planet Blue in search of the now legendary Patera Silk. The story continues in In Green's Jungles and Return to the Whorl.

Mudança de ares

O primeiro livro da trilogia do Sol Curto, traz como protagonista Horn, personagem fundamental para a tetralogia do Sol Longo. O livro tem aspecto quase surrealista. Coisas acontecem com pouca ou nenhuma explicação (coisa com a qual já estou honestamente acostumado desde o Novo Sol). A história acompanha dois pontos na vida de Horn, um passado e um quase presente, tendo seus fatos narrados pouco após o acontecimento. Ambas os pontos são descritos em concomitância. É uma jornada meditativa, onde cabe ao leitor decifrar as motivações de Horn e dos personagens que o cercam. É muito interessante essa mudança de ares.
