Lauren e Michael começam uma relação improvável .
O menino malvado e a menina calada. Conforme a amizade cresce, crescem o sentimentos de Lauren por Michael, um amor profundo que aparentemente não é correspondido.
Michael tem traumas, a perda do irmão, a relação com os pais, e gente do céu, meu coração ficou apertado com o Michael garotinho, sua dor, sua insegurança, seu desejo de ser amado. De saber o que ele havia feito de errado para sua vidinha mudar tanto.
Mas claro, com a insegurança de Michael, vem a dor para Lauren. O rapaz não tem a coragem de seguir seu coração e assim, os dois se afastam em meio a mágoas.
Anos mais tarde, eles se reencontram. Lauren é professora em uma creche em que a filha de Michael vai ficar. Por meio desta menina adorável os dois se aproximam novamente, mas será que o tempo fez a ferida se curar realmente? Lauren teme a envolver novamente e ela tem Adam em sua vida, uma nova relação com este homem adorável, que ela quer tentar com todas as forças que dê certo.
E Michael mais maduro, quer de todo coração corrigir os erros do passado. Quer viver o amor que com sua covardia não deixou viver.
Bom, eu gostei do livro.
Fiquei louca da vida com o Michael e principalmente com a Lauren, eu lia e falava com ela;
