Primeiramente: esse livro não é como você imagina! Ele é diferente de tudo o que você já leu, e só por esse motivo sozinho, a leitura já vale a pena.
Cracked, da Eliza Crewe é muito mais engraçado do que eu esperava. Dei risadas genuínas entre essas páginas, e senti que a preocupação principal da autora estava em mostrar a intensidade de seus personagens, suas qualidades e defeitos, e nos fazer cair de amores por eles. Crewe é uma dessas autoras muito mais focadas no desenvolvimento dos seus personagens do que no plot da história em si, e eu não posso julgá-la por isso - o resultado foi maravilhoso!
A protagonista é Meda Melange, e ela é de uma natureza encantadora. Meda é terrivelmente maléfica, bondosa e inteligente ao mesmo tempo. Ela é tão engraçada que eu não pude deixar de pegar alguns conselhos dados por ela no livro, hehe. Além de tudo isso ela é doce (apesar de raramente demonstrar), extremamente leal, e muito, muito perigosa!
Ao longo da história eu senti uma vontade enorme de conhecê-la pessoalmente, assim como a Jo, o Chi e o Uri.
Eu não achei esse livro tão fast-paced como eu gostaria, mas nem por isso ele foi menos apaixonante. Recomendo a qualquer um que goste de uma boa leitura com personagens contraditórios, criaturas fantásticas e sacadas muito inteligentes, além de um diálogo super divertido.
Com certeza irei conferir mais leituras da Eliza Crewe agora! :D
