Ok, aqui estão os fatos nus: Eu nasci na Flórida em 17 de dezembro de 1954, e eu estive interessado em livros desde então. Meu interesse pela língua levou-me a ganhar um BA em russo em 1976 (embora a minha principal foi microbiologia até meu último ano). Isso foi logo seguido por um período de dois anos como secretária jurídica. A parte boa sobre o que foi, eu aprendi a escrever, o que vem a ser útil nos dias de hoje. Então acabei na pós-graduação, e ganhou um mestrado em Linguística pela Universidade do Sul da Flórida. Eu também fiz algumas aulas de pós-graduação em linguística computacional da Universidade de Georgetown, apenas por diversão. Com MA recentemente ganhou na mão, eu viajei com minha amada consorte, George, para Washington, DC, onde eu consegui a conseguir um emprego ensino de Inglês como segunda língua na Universidade Americana. Eu ensinei lá por oito anos antes de se aposentar para escrever em tempo integral. No momento, eu moro na Costa Oeste com o consorte amado acima mencionado e dois labradores excessivamente adorado. Meus interesses externos incluem yoga, budismo, quilting, treinamento do cão e ler tudo o que já foi publicado.
