Livro bom porém não o melhor do autor

Comprei esse livro há uns dias, depois dele ter ficado há anos (isso mesmo, há anos!) na minha lista de desejos na Amazon. Sempre esperava o melhor momento para comprá-lo e com o tempo, ele acabou ficando cada vez mais caro. Mas enfim, esperei mais um pouco e consegui comprar por um preço ok.
Acredito que por ter esperado tanto tempo para poder enfim lê-lo acabou me gerando grandes expectativas, afinal, gosto muito do autor e já tinha lido outros trabalhos. E posso dizer, pelo meu ponto de vista, que "You're all just jealous of my Jetpack" foi a leitura que menos gostei. Não me entendam mal, eu curti, ri, e li super rápido, porém como eu já tinha gostado muito mais de outros livros do autor, achei esse meio "parado", por algum motivo.
Haviam tirinhas que eu não entendia o motivo delas serem "engraçadas", acredito que muito se deva pela perspectiva cultural, afinal o que é engraçado para nós aqui no Brasil não necessariamente será engraçado em inglês, espanhol ou em outras partes do mundo.
Enfim, como resumo geral da obra: eu curti, reli mais 2x mas não é o melhor trabalho de Gauld como "Baking with Kafka" ou "The Snooty Bookshop", por exemplo.
