Esse foi o primeiro livro a ser traduzido para ser vendido no Brasil. Harold Robbins nessa obra elevou o nível da literatura. O que parece ser um livro cheia de luxúria, traições, dinheiro e fama é na verdade uma obra que transmite o Amor em sua essência. Mesmo o livro tendo mais de 700 páginas, não foi um livro monótono e sim uma obra que liga todos os laços dos personagens e traz um final emocionante, que eleva Harold Robbins e que demonstra o porque de ele ter sido o 5° autor mais vendido da história.
