Lovely

This is a book I already felt connected to just from the brief glimpse we got of the characters in the previous book — and that’s how strong this story ended up being for me.

I loved this book, these characters, and this story so much.

Callie has lived a hard life. Even though she’s grown up now and no longer has her parents — who were at the center of many of her struggles — she’s still fighting. Her resilience is quiet but powerful, and that made her incredibly easy to root for.

Jack is pure passion. I’m such a sucker for passionate characters, and he embodies that intensity in a way that feels genuine and emotional, not forced.

Their story stayed with me long after I finished it, and it’s one of those books where the connection to the characters makes all the difference.
