Tão bom quanto Cloud Atlas!

The Bone Clocks segue a mesma estrutura do Cloud Atlas, seis partes de 100 páginas, cada uma contando uma história a partir de um Ponto de Vista diferente, interligadas por uma metanarrativa. Nesse caso, a metanarrativa é uma guerra supernatural entre imortais, os Horologistas versus os Ancoritas. A mistureba de alta-literatura com fantasia e ficção-científica, a marca registrada de David Mitchel funciona novamente. Sua prosa é sensacional, com momentos de grande maestria e sensibilidade literária, os personagens são bem construídos e a trama, apesar de lenta em algumas partes, me agradou muito.

Ainda prefiro Cloud Atlas, um dos melhores livros que já li, mas Bone Clocks é fascinante e imersivo.

Imagino que o livro pode confundir alguns leitores que esperam uma narrativa supernatural mais tradicional. David Mitchel desenvolve a metanarrativa da guerra supernatural progressivamente, através de diversos pontos de vista, e, até a quinta parte do livro, essa metanarrativa não é o foco das histórias.

Recomendo o livro, mas indicaria a leitura do Bone Clocks depois da leitura do Cloud Atlas, principalmente pelas ligações temáticas e até mesmo de personagens entre os dois livros.
