Nest livro seguimos Minnow, uma garota sem as duas mãos, em um reformatório, lembrando seus últimos anos vivendo na "Comunidade" - um culto na floresta liderado por um homem chamado de 'O Profeta'.

A forma como esta estória foi escrita realmente te prende - eu não pude parar de ler porque eu precisava saber por que Minnow estava no reformatório e exatamente como ela perdeu suas mãos, e a autora faz um ótimo trabalho no ritmo em que os detalhes de seu passado são revelados, ao mesmo tempo te deixando super interessado na sua vida presente no reformatório.

Neste livro você lê sobre abuso, assassinato, violência e religião, o que significa que não é para todo mundo. Este livro é brutal. É difícil de ler. É também uma estória que vai ficar comigo para sempre.
