Poderia ter sido melhor

Esse livro ficou na minha estante por mais de cinco anos mas finalmente decidi ler.

Front Lines é uma ficção histórica um pouco diferente: aqui, os Estados Unidos levam mulheres para a linha de frente da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nossas protagonistas tem motivos diferentes para voluntariar ao Exército e cada uma lida diferentemente com o processo de treinamento e com as batalhas em si.

O primeiro terço do livro foi muito bom, o autor tirou um tempo para apresentar os personagens com bastante profundidade. O segundo terço corresponde ao treinamento militar, que foi um pouco arrastado, mas ainda assim consistente e prendeu minha atenção. Mas a parte final foi um perrengue, eu fiquei muito entediada pela guerra em si e só queria terminar logo. Além disso, o livro é parte de uma trilogia, então a história não tem um fechamento (que eu achava que merecia), e é interrompida ainda no meio da guerra.

Provavelmente não vou ler o próximo livro, a descrição da guerra em si foi bastante desinteressante para mim.
