Captured by Eagle’s people Autumn is suddenly thrust back into the land of the living, though she would hardly call it living. The community of Purgatory is full of sinners, the most evil of which seem to have set their sights on her.

In an act born of anger and defiance, Eagle becomes Autumn’s unexpected savior forcing these two solitary people into one another’s broken worlds. Neither knows quite what to make of the other, but one thing is certain.
To survive Purgatory, they will need to learn how to rely on each other; a feat that could quite possibly teach them how to live again.

Eagle e Autumn

É o fim do mundo.

Eles o chamam de Eagle. Como o grande e belo animal que simboliza a liberdade. E durante esses tempos obscuros, quando a humanidade esta cheia de sofrimento um homem com um nome tão poderoso deve ser um farol de esperança.
Ele é tudo, menos isso.

Seu nome é Autumn. Embora ela não tenha dito este nome, ou muito de qualquer outra coisa, nos quatro anos desde a queda da civilização. É uma concha de seu eu interior, vivendo selvagemente no porão no fundo de um barraco.
Autumn está acostumada a estar sozinha.

Capturada pelas pessoas de Eagle, Autumn de repente é mandada para o lugar dos vivos, mas dificilmente considerariam ela viva.

A comunidade do Purgatório está cheia de pecadores, os mais malignos sao os que parecem se interessar por ela.

Em um ato, nascido de raiva e desafio, Eagle torna -se o inesperado salvador de Autumn, forçando essas duas pessoas solitárias a se encontrarem em mundo quebrado.

Não sabem o que fazer um com o outro, mas uma coisa é certa: Para viver ao Purgatório, eles precisam aprender a confiar um no outro, uma atitude que possivelmente poderia ensina-los a viver de novo.

Autumn é encontrada e levada para o local onde os sobreviventes do apocalipse se abrigam. Mas lá não é o paraíso, pelo contrário, é o verdadeiro inferno.

Eagle não é uma pessoa boa, no começo do livro eu fiquei tanto com raiva dele, quanto da Autumn, mas no decorrer da história começamos a gostar e descobrir a história de cada um.

Amei o livro e recomendo.
