O livro conta a história da Alice que vê seu mundo virar de cabeça para baixo quando descobre que tem mal de Alzheimer de instalação precoce. Em dois anos ela tem que deixar de fazer o que mais gosta, que é dar aulas e fazer palestras.
Começa a esquecer da família e de si própria, porém recebe carinho e amor de quem menos se espera.
Amei a leitura do início ao fim, apesar de que em algumas parte ser um pouco cansativo. Apesar de ter o filme vale apena ler o livro.
