'I wish I could get through into looking-glass house,' Alice said. 'Let's pretend that the glass has gone soft and . . . Why, I do believe it has! It's turning into a kind of cloud!' The chess pieces talk and argue with her, give orders and repeat poems . . . It is the strangest dream that anyone ever had . . .

“Life, what is it but a dream?”

Definitely not as good as Alice’s very first adventure but quite a good read. I was so excited after reading Alice in Wonderland that I decided to check this one out right after and maybe I shouldn’t have. I reckon now that If I waited a bit longer maybe my reading would be more fun. Still, I’m glad I’ve read both Alice’s books and checked them out of my list.
