O livro começa onde o primeiro terminou, com Leah, Jefferson e o resto do grupo a procura de um lugar para viver.
Qndo eles finalmente acham o lugar ideal, o tio da Leah volta a ameacar e a atacar. Todos percebem que enquanto o tio dela estiver vivo, eles nunca terão paz, ele nunca deixará de perseguir Leah e todos correm perigo.
Leah resolve viajar e ir conversar com seu tio e acabar de uma vez por todas com a suas ameaças e perseguições. Quando ela fica cara a cara com o tio dela, ela descobre que ele é muito pior do que ela imaginava.
Leah descobre mais sobre sua mágica.
O livro não é muito emocionante ou muito misterioso, mas é agradável.

O livro é bom, achei parecido demais com o primeiro, Leah vs o tio mal.
O final foi perfeito, mas tão perfeito, que eu acho que deveria ser apenas uma duologia e não trilogia.
Eu sinceramente não sei qual será a história do terceiro livro.
