In July 1942, thirteen-year-old Anne Frank and her family, fleeing the horrors of Nazi occupation, went into hiding in an Amsterdam warehouse. Over the next two years Anne vividly describes not only the daily frustrations of living in such close quarters, but also her thoughts, feelings and longings as she grows up. Her diary ends abruptly and tragically when, in August 1944, Anne and her family were all finally betrayed.

The Diary of a young girl

The begining of the book is quite slow and boring, once she detail all her classmates, so I felt strugling to go further in the first 30 pages. After that it starts to get interesting when the family head to the secret annexe. It's a touching story and I had to stop many times just to wonder about the such profound things she had held in her heart and would only open to her diary. It's amazing to analize her writting and ideias, wich shows so much maturity for a young girl! Overall this is a war document, that everybody should read to never forget the holocaust and so always fight for freedom, equality, and a world free from prejudice!
