Óbvio que é um livro infantil

É óbvio que este é um livro para crianças, mas justamente por isso devemos nos perguntar qual é a essência da mensagem desse livro. Enquanto ele avisa dos perigos de pessoas aproveitadoras, também cria um receio de ajudar um desconhecido. Claro que a figura do rato como o aproveitador afugenta a ideia de que qualquer um pode ter esse papel e indica que há um tipo específico de pessoas assim, mas na mente de uma criança esse detalhe pode passar despercebido.
