Twenty-seven-year old Anne Elliot is Austen's most adult heroine. O último livro da minha releitura da obra de Jane Austen, também o último livro que li no meu primeiro encontro com a autora, e o último livro terminado por ela.
É um livro mais maduro, não só por ter ma heroína bem mais velha, mas por ter uma história focada no arrependimento, no amadurecimento, no olhar para o passado.
Wentworth é um verdadeiro herói e talvez o melhor personagem desse livro, ele sofreu e não esconde, tenta machucar a quem o machucou, mas perdoa, se arrepende, é humano.
