Quando Clark Kent estava prestes a morrer, a Mulher Maravilha o salva. Em uma série de socos velozes, Superman desnorteia o Apocalypse e, após lançar um ônibus, Jon comemora e Apocalypse acaba o ouvindo. Ele tem ódio de kryptonianos, assim como de toda e qualquer forma humana. Superman, ao perceber o perigo que Jon corria, voou para a fazenda e encontrou Lois e Jon sãos e salvos.
