On August 18, 1648, with no relief from the siege in sight, the royalist garrison holding Colchester Castle surrendered and Oliver Cromwell's army firmly ended the rule of Charles I of England. Mais um livro escrito pelo conde Spencer, e mais um livro ótimo de conteúdo, leitura fácil e corrida, e um assunto interessante: o que aconteceu com aqueles revolucionários que ousaram matar seu rei, o rei da Inglaterra, depois que a situação se voltou contra eles. É um livro incrível, que se não se aprofunda no debate historiográfico, compensa na fluidez e clareza da escrita.
