RESUMO

Pato, Arbo, Gladys e Marcos são quatro adolescentes mexicanos que saem para fumar no deserto durante a quinceñera da irmã de Arbo. Enquanto eles estão lá escutam tiros.

Sua vida muda em poucos minutos, e tudo que eles conheciam já não existe mais.

Eles são vistos pelos atiradores, e precisam fugir. Eles correm e correm, mas não têm mais ninguém.

E assim começa a jornada, e o desejo de atravessar a fronteira para os Estados Unidos em busca de uma vida melhor e livre das gangues.

Eu amei o livro. Ele é bem pesadinho, mas achei muito interessante.

Cada um tem uma opinião sobre as fronteiras, e a permissão de entrada de imigrantes, mas temos essa opinião já estando do outro lado.

É legal ver a outra versão, ver o porquê de essas pessoas saírem de seus países. Não é fácil deixar tudo para trás, mas às vezes eles não têm escolha. Não há outra possibilidade.

Acho que é um livro que todo mundo devia ler, principalmente para desenvolver empatia, que está tão em falta no mundo.
