Assim como avisa logo no começo do livro, dei uma abaixada na expectativa de realidade e acho que foi isso o que me fez curtir muito a leitura.

Adoro a premissa do livro das pessoas terem 9 vidas pra viver mas serem obrigadas a morrer pra não ter superpopulação, já ai fiquei assustada com o culto a morte que isso acarreta e com as cenas um tanto gore.

Fiquei muito impactada com a morte de iniciação do Amit nos Burners e o fato de ele renascer sem paladar.

A história do Julian buscando a verdade sobre sua mãe, toda a treta dos retrogrades, e até o final, tudo me deixou presa a história e sempre agoniada. Sinto que daria pra explorar mais em várias áreas.

Achei o final um pouco bittersweet, é feliz na medida do possível mas não é o que a gente quer. Eu só queria respostas pra algumas coisas, tipo porque a Molly continuou como Três, onde estão alguns personagens, qual o terceiro "defeito" do Julian depois de renascer, por que não foram atrás dele e do irmão... Muitas questões em aberto, entendo por um lado manter assim porque continua mostrando a corrupção do governo, mas queria saber mais, já que não há uma continuação.

Enfim, recomendo bastante pra quem gosta de uma distopia.
