It's not too bad

I liked it, but I think Jim was too invincible, too smart, and too good. It's not make any sense, or the cops are too stupid, or Jim was the smartest guy in the world, and I don't think he was.
Tess and J.T. had no chemistry. It looks like the author was trying to put some romance to have some appeal to people reading the book.
It's not bad, but it's not great at all.
