Riordan tem um código moral para aceitar seus trabalhos. Ele é um assassino de aluguel que mata abusadores, pessoas más. Mas seu último trabalho algo deu errado e inocentes morreram, e agora isso está fazendo ele questionar sua agência e até a si mesmo.

Aisling, sua irmã, está preocupada com ele desde seu último trabalho, pois parece que Riordan está deprimido e fechado. A solução vem com os serviços de Teddy.

Teddy tem uma empresa que oferece companhia e carinho a quem precisar, um abraço a quem perdeu alguém, um acalento a quem é sozinho. Porém na visão de Riordan, ele não precisa disso. Mas todos precisam de amor, e aprender isso mudará a vida de ambos.

Esse livro está bem melhor que o primeiro, os personagens bem aprofundados e um relacionamento que você consegue ver o carinho se formar e crescer.

Confesso que não gosto da romantização de assassinato e tortura, mas sei que é a proposta do livro, mesmo assim preciso dizer que esse livro, assim como o primeiro, não é dark, os personagens principais se respeitam.

Teddy é um amor, eu fiquei totalmente apaixonada por ele e apesar dele estar feliz com Riordan, acho que ele merecia mais.

Apesar de ser um livro longo e clichê (o "mistério" e desenvolvimento são previsíveis), a leitura é envolvente e divertida, o que faz você não querer parar de ler.
