Minha relação com os livros de Diana, às vezes, é um pouco tensa. Quando ela começa a se alongar demais descrevendo paisagens ou cenas, eu fico pensando: "Resume, mulher, enxuga esse texto! Esse é o último livro da série que lerei!". Aí ela vem com um trecho arrebatador, seja de aventura, seja um momento emocional importante e lá vou eu: "Preciso terminar esse livro e iniciar a leitura do próximo volume!"

Gostei mais do terceiro livro, apesar das 400 páginas em que os protagonistas viveram suas vidas longe um do outro e a longa narrativa dos acontecimentos passados durante 20 anos. O reencontro de Jamie e Claire foi muito bem escrito, todo o peso dos anos que passaram separados, a insegurança, as mudanças, os segredos, o início de um novo relacionamento, foram desenvolvidos de forma brilhante.

A parte do Caribe foi ao mesmo tempo interessante, pela cultura, rituais e ação, mas também foi um pouco arrastada porque a autora se perde nas descrições e exagera nas coincidências forçadas. E a conclusão da parte de Geillis foi apressada.
