Gostei muito do livro. Não li a versão em português, mas em inglês os diálogos são escritos em um inglês arcaico que retarda um pouco a leitura. Aida assim, uma vez que você se acostuma, a leitura é bem fluida.
As cinco estórias do livro trazem, direta ou indiretamente, a relação dos homens com os animais. Em algumas delas a relação é harmoniosa, em outras, devastadora. Pensando no momento atual, na nossa paupérrima e exploratória relação com a natureza, esse livro traz singelas lições de convívio e respeito entre espécies.
