Sarah Waters
Nasceu no País de Gales em 1966 e é doutorada em Literatura Inglesa. Em 1998 recebeu o prémio New London Writers. Em 2000 recebeu o prémio do Sunday Times para jovens escritores e o prémio Somerset Maugham, ambos por Afinidade. O romance Falsas Aparências foi ainda finalista do Booker Prize. Foi considerada pela prestigiada revista Granta uma das 20 jovens escritoras britânicas mais promissoras.
