As Qui-Gon’s faith in prophecy grows, Obi-Wan’s faith in him is tested—just as a threat surfaces that will demand that Master and apprentice come together as never before, or be divided forever.

Uma boa expansão de história para qualquer fã de Star Wars

Comecei o livro sem saber o que pensar sobre, e acabou sendo "a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one". A relação entre Qui Gon e Obi-Wan foi muito bem explorada, coisa que não aconteceu no único filme em que eles aparecem juntos. Os personagens novos acabam sendo muito interessantes, e a história faz com que você se interesse por ela rapidamente. Não é nada essencial para o universo Star Wars, e nem precisa ser, mas acaba expandindo sua visão sobre a história dos filmes. Eu, como viciado em Star Wars, talvez seja suspeito para falar, mas com certeza recomendo o livro.
