O terceiro livro da saga aborda bastante o relacionamento do Miro e do Ian com seus amigos, tanto os colegas de departamento como as amigas da faculdade de Miro. Podemos ver um pouco mais sobre o passado do Ian, que não tinha sido tão abordado ate o momento, e como era sua relação com o antigo grupo que ele servia.
