livro alt-lit dessa escritora trans, categorizado como uma "genre-phobic novel-in-fragments". é sobre esse lugar/pessoa chamada sea-witch, em que a narradora viveu e cuja história conta. refere a si mesma como um monstro, habitando sea-witch com vários outros monstros. entendo como se fossem pessoas lgbtq+ compartilhando um espaço seguro e criando/acreditando numa religião e mitologia próprias, que envolvem o culto à "meteor", um meteoro que os vai destruir um dia (o nome é sempre acompanhado de "may she lay us waste"). gostei das analogias e das crenças e histórias das bruxas, da diversidade inserida em tudo (algumas têm pronomes como "xe" e "xyr", que aparentemente são neutros). algumas fotos e citações, muitos riscos e rabiscos. na contracapa tem alguns comentários sobre o livro que acho apropriados – sobre ser uma "self-revelation", "carry a dna so free", ser "a soft fire in a sea of red milk". achei bonito e fiquei afim de ler os outros dois volumes, que (assim como o primeiro) podem ser baixados em pdf de graça ou pagando o quanto quiser neste link: http://undying.club/books.html :)
