Recomendo a leitura para amantes de mistérios. Assim como In The Barren Ground (a única outra obra da autora que li), o mistério é bem construído e a investigação é inteligente e estruturada. Mas ao contrário do que eu curti muito no outro livro, nesse há uma certa previsibilidade, pequenas pistas na escrita entregam reviravoltas que poderiam ter um impacto maior se o "foreshadow" não tivesse sido óbvio.

Um ponto que me incomodou foram as similaridades mas protagonistas. Ambas mulheres teimosas que já se relacionaram com homens casados e que usam/já usaram sexo como escapismo e se recusam a pedir ajuda. Talvez se houvesse uma distinção mais clara entre as vizesdas protagonistas (e até mesmo entre os pov's distintos dentro da própria obra) esse ponto não seria tão relevante, mas acaba dando a sensação de que estou lendo a mesma protagonista em outro contexto.
