Jan Geurt Gaarlandt
Otto de Kat é o pseudônimo do editor aposentado Jan Geurt Gaarlandt (nascido em 1946). Ele publicou seu primeiro romance, The Figure in the Distance, em 1998, seguido em 2004 por De inscheper (Man on the Move) e em 2008 por Julia. Cada um desses romances é ambientado nas décadas de 1930 e 1940 e cada um deles foi recebido favoravelmente e indicado para vários prêmios literários.
