Provavelmente nunca saberemos quem foi realmente essa jovem francesa ou o que de fato ocorreu naqueles momentos de extrema ansiedade por causa de longa guerra na região. Resta portanto mais lenda que fatos verificáveis. O que já é um começo.

Talvez o que importe mais nesse caso é o porquê de sua importância histórica para o francês e influencia na sua cultura.
